Isomorphism means that two systems with different surface labels run the same structure. The variables may have different names and belong to different domains, but their relations, transmission chains, and failure modes can map onto one another.

When isomorphism is strong, knowledge earns transfer rights: a mechanism, script, or dashboard verified in one system can be carried into another. But transfer rights must be graded.

Strength Rules

  • Strong isomorphism: variables, transmission chain, feedback loop, and failure boundary all map one for one, and comparable indicators can observe both sides.
  • Medium isomorphism: the structural grammar is shared, but variables or thresholds do not map completely. The skeleton can transfer, but the instruments must be rebuilt in the target domain.
  • Weak metaphor: helpful for explanation, invalid for judgment.

Operating Rules

  1. Grade before using. The mapping strength decides what kind of reasoning is allowed.
  2. Build strong isomorphism by mapping structure positions, not by admiring similarity.
  3. Mark the breaks. A medium isomorphism is valuable because the broken points reveal the target system’s special mechanism.

Place in the Whole

Isomorphism is the grammar of transfer. It is the constitutional rule behind the strength labels used in the other meta-concept pages.
